LPB-1 - Linear Power Booster
About as classic as they come, the LPB-1 is permanently attached to many guitarists pedal boards. It's a simple one transistor circuit and a perfect first build for any aspiring stompbox builder. We have two verified layouts, both with on board pot. One layout has an on board led and the other one is without.Schematic

It might be worth noting that both layouts presented here differ from this schematic in that they include a pull down resistor on the input.

Wire connections same as the layout without led, you'll also need to connect the free pad below the led to your switch. You can also connect your switch to ground via the pad below the output wire. This makes all cables going to the switch nicely grouped together. The image above shows the suggested way to mount pot and led on board.

Transistor
The LPB-1 is pretty insensitive about which transistor to use, I've used a 2N5088 and 2N5089. Most bipolar transistors will work, just mind the pin out of the transistor you choose.Other Parts
If you build the version with on board led, or mount one another way, you'll need a led and a suiting resistor for that led.Server does not support image manipulation.
